We support teachers through a range of professional minutiae opportunities, including our yearly conference. Innovative resources are continually stuff ripened to proffer and enrich your knowledge of mathematics, whether teacher, student, undergraduate or member of the workforce. MEI takes various opportunities to share and discuss with you the waffly landscape of mathematics education, including consultation, discussions, social media, and our newsletters. Another way you can get involved is through our membership scheme. Our local branches for Members and Educational Associates provide professional minutiae as well as a forum for discussion. MEI is an self-sustaining charity; any income generated through our work is used to support mathematics education. We are a partner in the NCETM consortium, and moreover manage the government-funded Advanced Mathematics Support Programme. Maths Item of the Month October 2018 Ritangle competition Ritangle is a competition for teams of students of A level Mathematics, the International Baccalaureate and Scottish Highers: integralmaths.org/ritangle. The first five questions will be released on 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th October 2018. Correct answers to these questions release a track for the final question. Question 1 How many 8 digit numbers are there that are both: a) divisible by 18 and b) such that every digit is a 1 or a 2 or a 3? Please don’t share answers outside your team, others are having fun finding them!
